	Private Health Insurance Administration Council (PHIAC)
	Independent Statutory Authority that regulates the private health insurance industry. It also collects and disseminates financial and statistical data regarding health funds, as well as information about private health insurance to enable consumers to make informed choices.

Health Insurance Commission (HIC)

HIC is Australia's primary health information management and payment agency, and administers many major government health programs and schemes including Medicare, Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme, Australian Organ Donor Register and The Australian Childhood Immunisations Register. HIC also detects and prevents fraud and inappropriate servicing; provides international consultancy services; is playing a key role in the shift towards patient centred care, evidence-based medicine and the development of Australia's health information and payments arrangements of the future.

	Private Health Associations
	Australian Health Insurance Association (AHIA)
	The AHIA is a peak organisation that represents 30 health funds throughout Australia and collectively covers more than 94% of the private health insurance industry.

	Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA)
	The APHA is the principle association representing private hospitals and day surgeries on a national basis. It provides a wide range of representation, information, technical support and member services. APHA's membership continues to grow and has links with state-based private hospital associations, Catholic Health Australia and Mayne Health.

	Catholic Health Australia
	Catholic Health Australia is the national organisation representing more than 680 Catholic health care sponsors, systems, facilities, and related organisations and services. This represents the largest non-government provider grouping of health, aged and health related community care services in Australia.

	Australasian Day Surgery Association
	Mayne operates substantial businesses in two core service industries - health care and logistics. Mayne Health comprises hospitals and medical, pathology and diagnostic imaging centres.
